The IEA has discontinued providing data in the Beyond 2020 format (IVT files and through WDS). Data is now available through the .Stat Data Explorer, which also allows users to export data in Excel and CSV formats.

Notes

EMDEs = Emerging markets and developing economies; AEs = Advanced economies. Battery demand is defined here as the volume-weighted average battery size multiplied by vehicle sales by region. It reflects the batteries installed in vehicles sold in each region, and not the battery demand for vehicles manufactured in each region. Electric vehicle and battery stockpiling are excluded from the analysis.
